some guy, an athesit, brought a law suit against the "so help me god" part of the swearing in ceremony. it was never written into the law that it must be said. it's tradition. i mean if it doesn't make him happy, don't listen to it. obama has said multiple times that he is a firm believer in God so why would be not say it? george washington started it over 200 years ago. by choice. no one had to follow, but they did. so don't try to fix something that's not broken.
